Structured Events recently provided design and production of a custom signage display with integrated audio visual solution for the upcoming Running Man Live In Australia concerts. Set in front of the historic shot tower at Melbourne Central the event was a pre-release ticket sale for registered fans with tickets ranging from $90 – $375, an impressive crowd of over 250 had formed by the 11am launch time.
The solution provided included a 4 post truss frame with horizontal support beams along with 2 massive 70″ LCD TVs and a compact PA system with wireless microphones. As shown in the below images Structured Events designed a custom truss frame to support the entire solution internally in a space of just 3.9mt x x 0.8mt. The tri truss uprights were used to support the two 70″ LCD TVs along with a series of horizontal beams, these beams were then used to provide a solid support and anchor position for the custom foamcore signage.
Our client had outlined the importance of keeping the entire display and AV solution in a small space as they had only been allocated a small section of the shopping centre for their activation, so we couldn’t use up too much space with the structure and AV gear. Using just 800mm depth left the maximum amount of space for the POS counters and lines for the customers.
The visual solution featured the two large 70″ Sharp LCD TVs, which switched a live camera and playback from Qlab via a compact Edirol V-1HD. The audio solution provided used a pair of compact ElectroVoice ZX1 powered 8″ speakers mounted on top of the truss stands, and this was controlled by a Yamaha 8ch mixing desk. Two wireless Shure UHF-R handheld microphones took care of MC mic and announcements.
